We are a small, family run restaurant since 2002 specialising in carefully sourced Aberdeen Angus beef from Scottish small highland farms, cooked simply but with flair and attention to detail.Our emphasis is on high quality local ingredients and fresh produce from the best of local suppliers. 1st class cocktails and excellent courses but, unfortunately, tempered by a loud screaming child. I'll never understand a proper cocktail bar as this is, welcoming families with buggies and loud children. It's never made sense to me. Nonetheless we'll always get here to sample the cocktails. They're 2nd to none.

A beautiful festive treat. We felt like we’d walked into a Parisian bistro somewhere off Place de la Republic. All the food was awesome (my bourguignon with buttery mash was delicious) and the drinks (rum old fashioned, bottle of Corbiere) were perfect. Add in an attentive service, great ambience and a wedding party, wandering through to rapturous applause, and we had everything to make this a highly memorable and enjoyable lunchtime. Highly recommended. Magnifique!

We all thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Was a wee bit dissapointed that the Christmas menu had disappeared. In saying that the choices were lovely. We brought our two friends for lunch instead of buying them gifts. The service was excellent. We will get back again.
