- SStuartNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoSuper nice staff who moved us to a nicer table when one became available without us even asking! Also gave us a birthday dessert based on fact that it was my partner's Birthday. Great food with good size portions and very comfortable seating and environment!More infoTurkish Kitchen DurhamPrice: Moderate• Turkish• Durham•4.8
- MMikeNewcastle and Northumberland •5 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoI had Christmas lunch (on my own). I had my choice of gluten free prawn cocktail starter, steak and chips with vegetables and a gluten free chocolate brownie dessert. Everything was delicious and perfect in every way possible. The chef cooked the steak exactly right. Service was great (no fuss) and the atmosphere for the day was great too - yes a few noisy children, but it was Christmas Day and actually it was quite nice having families! I have eaten in top restaurants around the world and I know my food and wine, and on balance (whilst not Michelin star - I wouldn’t’ve gone if it was) this was really very enjoyable. I had a lovely lunch and will go again. I went for a short walk along the river afterwards and it was just so pleasant. Thank you everyone so much.More infoHavelock ArmsPrice: Moderate• Pub• Washington•4.3
- VVictoriaNewcastle and Northumberland •1 review5.0Dined on 23 Dec 2024We went for lunch today to celebrate our anniversary. Your online booking system asked if we were going for any reason and I noted it was for our anniversary and didn’t think much of it. When we arrived all of the staff were polite and professional. They congratulated us on our anniversary which in itself was a lovely touch. We were then treated to a glass of Prosecco each which we thought was very kind. The food (we had the soup and warm cheese scone) was delicious and surprisingly filling (there was no space left for desert) and we finished with two lovely lattes. The ambiance was lovely, a gently hum of a busy cafe and all the staff we friendly, polite and welcoming. We will definitely be backMore infoBayberry HollowPrice: Moderate• English• Stanley•4.8
