Best Seasonal Restaurants in Capitol Hill / First Hill

Really enjoyed the food and ambience at Spinasse. There were good options on the menu for a vegetarian family. Our waiter, Heather was awesome and very knowledgeable about vegetarian choices and helped make the right choices. A little bit disappointed that 2 desserts on the menu contain pork gelatin, but there were 3 other desserts to choose from. Again, Heather was awesome in steering us in the right direction. Overall a great experience for a special family dinner!

Great food! The unique salad, pillow soft gnocchi and panna cotta were fantastic. We love this place, and prices are very reasonable.

This was our second time going to Violet. Once a group of 6 and this time just 2 of us. Both times it was fabulous. I've never had better scallops - done just perfectly without being overdone at all. And the Short Ribs fell off the bone. Will definitely become a regular as everything we've had there is fabulous.

This was our second time back in the last few months, the first time not long after the passing of Wayne Johnson, chef at Andaluca and Fare Start. Oola happily reminded us of the inspired offerings that Wayne created. Fresh, seasonal, locally sourced food with contemporary pan-pacific flavor and textures, beautifully presented and plated. Likewise, the wine offerings were appropriate and very satisfying. We were also lucky to sample a flight of Oola whiskey along with a description by the distiller of each offering; and a bonus description of their vodka and gin. The black label whiskey in particular was excellent! We had a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable evening.
