Best Restaurants with a Scenic View in Downtown / Loop

The entire experience was exceptional. The pasta was great. The steak was great. The service was great. If I win the Powerball, I’ll definitely go back.

We were seated quickly as we had reservations. Farther from the beautiful tree, but we could see some of it. Our meals were delicious! We had the Lobster Biisque soup, Cranberry Citrus Chicken Salad Croissant, and Lobster Ravoli. Everything was scrumptious! Our server, Yolanda, was very attentive. Offered a few selections and brought us drinks. Online reservations were a bit challenging as time slots only opened up the day before our scheduled arrival. Overall, our experience at The Walnut Room was delightful!

Our server Janae provided outstanding service! Her approach topped off a great meal in a very nice atmosphere. We will be back, and hopefully Janae will be our server again.

We had a wonderful experience. We were seated right away. The restaurant was very clean. I had a lobster tail with mash potatoes, and broccolini. My food was very good. My best friend had the center cut filet mignon with mash potatoes and broccolini as well. They loved their steak. For our appetizer we had the shrimp kisses; which were delicious. I visit this restaurant again.

Great location and environment. Less stuffy than some Chicago steakhouses. Nothing really all that different on the menu, but everything was done really well. Might be the best steak I’ve ever had. Beet salad: Amazing. Bacon: Incredible. Sides: All exceptional. Didn’t leave room for dessert, maybe subconsciously to give us a reason to return.
