- DDvipSan Francisco Bay Area •8 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoOne If By Land is one of the most beautiful restaurants in New York, with the most exceptional service and ambience. The ambience feels special (and cozy) with subtle lighting, fresh flowers everywhere, as well as twinkling white lights and candles, and views of the garden patio. One member of our party was delayed in their arrival, and the restaurant graciously waited before beginning service, and never pressured us about the unexpected delay. The timing of every aspect of the entire evening was impeccable, with servers patiently waiting an appropriate amount of time at every stage of ordering and serving. The food was delicious with every course was prepared beautifully. We had the Beef Wellington, Rib Eye, and Halibut. For dessert, we all enjoyed chocolate soufflés and the waiters brought an extra plate of bite sized treats for a birthday we were celebrating. It was an evening we will never forget and we will undoubtedly return to One If By Land for special occasions, if we are lucky enough to secure a reservation!More infoOne if by Land, Two if by SeaPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Greenwich Village•4.6
- DdanNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agowe've been a few times. every one has been outstanding! window tables have a spectacular view of the bridge & lower manhattan, with the east river ferries docking so close you could almost touch them. catch dom on piano if you can; he's been playing there for decades and with good reason. the best wait staff you'll find anywhere! stunning entrance plantings at the end of the cobblestone drive. oh yeah, the chow... last night, nantucket bay scallops for appetizer, sea bass for main course, "the bridge" for dessert, plus additional on-the-house items. all excellent. russian caviar for those with too much disposable income. don't forget: bring your home equity line of credit or similar. well worth it. go big or go home.More infoThe River CafePrice: Very Expensive• American• DUMBO•4.9

At lunch, one is able to order a half portion of any of the appetizers; salads; or pastas. The place is very attractive and the service is top notch. One of our favorite local Italian restaurants.More infoIl CantinoriPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• East Village•4.8
- PPennyvipNew York City •66 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoGreat appetizers of vegetable chips and pita with dips started our meal. Beverages arrived quickly. Two of us had fish and it was delicious. My husband had lamp chops, which were perfectly done. Service was very good and timely. The restaurant was jammed, but noise level was fine. We could have conversation without shouting. We’ll be back to enjoy the great food and service.More infoEleaPrice: Very Expensive• Greek• Upper West Side•4.8
