We came to Proxi for a chef pop-up but having dined here a few times previously I knew the meal would be fantastic. In addition to the pop-up we ordered two vegetable dishes from the Proxi menu. The tempura elotes is an absolute must and for a refreshing and flavorful dish, the fennel apple chaat is your dish. We sat at the chef’s counter which I highly recommend for a chance to watch the action.

I really enjoyed my lunch at Roanoke! The atmosphere is lovely with amber lighting and rich colors. It felt very luxurious while still being inviting and comfortable. The staff was immediately friendly and attentive at the door, and that service continued the 2+ hours I was here. Isaiah, our server, had great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious (we split fries to start and then got salads— I recommend trying the steak cobb salad and subbing in chicken!), but my real favorite was the iced caramel latte. I will definitely be returning for another brunch with friends or a business lunch!

A very quiet lunchtime on Presidents Day. I came for my favourite Fusilli. My first couple of bites were quite spicy (I don't recall it being as spicy on previous occasions) and I began to choke. Staff were very helpful, offered to replace with a less spicy version but I didn't like the thought of food being wasted. My cough settled down, I enjoyed the Fusilli as I always do (resolved to ask for less spicy next time). They brought me a second glass of wine on the house so that solved everything. This is a VERY CLASSY restaurant with tasty and interesting food. I come every year in February and always visit Acanto ....
