Best Romantic Restaurants in Ocean Beach

Excellent service by Lucca. His recommendations were spot on. Great food, fun vibe. The bar program needs some work though, it is not commensurate with the foot.

I booked dinner at Island Prime as a last minute thing and happy I did. The ambience and view of San Diego is amazing. My server was amazing and helped me with recommendations! Highly recommend!

We had a lovely new years brunch (though I do wish they actually served brunch fare). Everything was very delicious! The service, while very friendly and accommodating, got a little slow toward the end as it got busier, which is understandable. It would’ve been okay except we were in a booth that was one of two they have for parties of six but maybe six short, slim people? Pretty uncomfortable, especially in that corner spot, I spent the whole meal with my arms up over the back of the booth. I’m chubby but the rest of my party were regular sized men and one slim woman and we all felt squashed. But otherwise, a beautiful meal on a lovely day.

From the moment we walked in the hostess was amazing. She accommodated our early arrival and was super helpful in getting us seated at the bar, while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. Our waitress in the bar, Erica, recommended happy hour drinks, and was super kind and welcoming! Our waiter, when our whole party arrived and was seated for dinner, Jacob, was also very kind and patient with our large group. We will certainly be back, as this is a staple restaurant whenever we’re in the San Diego area.

We enjoyed a delicious Christmas Eve dinner! The Beef Wellington was excellent. Banana Cream pie was fantastic! My only suggestion would be to have non-alcoholic drink options. Dry Secco is perfect or some of the great beers . It would just be nice and make it special.
