- IIanvipNew York City •438 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had another "over the top" dining experience at Philly's number one restaurant, Jean Georges. From the moment we entered the downstairs lobby we noticed all the Christmas decorations & how beautiful it looked. When we entered the lobby of the hotel on the 60th floor, the decorations were absolutely jaw dropping and our jaws continued to drop as we entered the bar area & the Sky high lounge. We enjoyed some cocktails at the bar before our dinner. We had such a lovely warm greeting from the hostess who welcomed us back. That really set the tone for the entire evening. While we were waiting for Michael to come over, Sarah, our server from our last dining experience, came over and said hello and gave us another warm greeting. It was like being with old friends and it was really great to see her. Michael, was the perfect gentleman right through dinner maintaining a fine balance between being professional and yet being extremely jovial with us. Our crab dumplings and risotto appetizers were so tasty. The chef got extremely creative with the crab dumplings and it paid off in spades, it was such a unique appetizer. The Seabass, lamb and lobster were all plated so beautifully and had an awesome blend of flavors. The passion chocolate dessert was a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. We still remember the deconstructed German chocolate cake from our last dinner which was the best of all. Each person that came to our table to either deliver the food or clear the table was so respectful and courteous. All in all, the venue, the phenomenal service, quality and taste of the food is simply the best in Philadelphia. THANKS to everyone for making it such another extraordinary evening for us !!!More infoJean-Georges PhiladelphiaPrice: Moderate• Bar / Lounge / Bottle Service• Center City•4.7

- CChuckPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWow! I walked past this resto so many times, and, from the outside, it looked average. However, as soon as you walk in the front door, you know that you are some place special. The ambience is great, but, more importantly, the food was exquisite. Yes, it was expensive, but the experience was worth every penny. To start, we ordered rolls with chive butter, and, for an entrée, had pumpkin ravioli with walnuts, apples, onions, and ricotta cheese--yum! The food was so good that we decided to order dessert, an apple tartan which was equally delicious. On top of that, our server was excellent, very helpful, and friendly. You have to try this place at least once!More infoThe LovePrice: Expensive• American• Rittenhouse Square•4.8

Service was exceptional and each one of us had a great dinner. The pasta special was outstanding (do not hesitate), but I have to admit that the gorgonzola filled gnocchi enjoyed by my GF were pretty amazing as well. Her husband had no difficulty devouring his entire chicken park and my husband was delighted that he could order and enjoy veal parm not included on the menu. While I do not usually order my own dessert, I just could not pass up the Lemon Gelato with Limoncello and I have to say that it was positively amazing. I cannot recall having such an unusual and memorable dessert and only wish I could re-create it. It was served in a champagne flute and I refused to leave a trace behind. Our server was extremely professional and very pleasant. It was a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was pleasantly quiet and she permitted us to stay and visit without rushing us out the door. Our valet kindly brought our vehicles to the front door and delivered the keys to our table so we were able to avoid getting wet with the light rain. Very thoughtful. All in all a great meal and we are already looking forward to a return visit.More infoLa Collina RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Italian• Bala Cynwyd•4.6
