Best Romantic Restaurants in Baie-Orientale

Amazing restaurant with great food, lovely vibe and professional staff. We went there for my wife b-day. Alexandre, the owner, is very welcoming and explained to us entire menu. The appetizers were delicious, the wagu Astralian steak was just exceptional and an apple pie desert with cappuccino was perfect way to end a wonderful dinner.  If you ever come to SXM, this place is a must.

We had a very nice dinner overlooking the water. The restaurant felt a bit crowded with a lot of tables very close together and the meal was over $300 with just one glass of wine. Lobster Thermidor at other places on Grand Case were not as costly but did not have the ocean views. One might say it’s worth the extra cost if you prefer an ocean view.

The finest dining in SXM. A few other restaurants may produce very high quality well prepared food, La Villa Hibiscus creates individual culinary works of art. This is not formulamatic dishes prepared day after day. The menu changes each week and the larger tasting menus can be individualized A well selected wine pairing is offered The servers are knowledgeable and describe both the food and wine The restaurant is beautiful with tables widely spaced We have been visiting SXM for almost 40 years and have dined in all the finest restaurants, none are in the same league as Hibiscus

We stopped here for a cocktail before dining elsewhere one night. Bar was superb-very reasonable wines by the glass, plus wonderful craft cocktails. Came back for dinner, which was a lovely experience. Lots of fairly theatrical tableside preparations. Highly recommend the tilefish in banana leaves and also the steak, which was flambéed tableside with a deliciously piquant sauce. We split a couple desserts, which were also quite good, especially the little puff pastry bites filled with cream and served with caramel and chocolate dipping sauces. One note of caution: if you are in a hurry, this is not your place. Service is leisurely verging on ‘where did they go?’. But we were on vacation. We poured our own wine, eventually flagged down a waiter for more water, and enjoyed our evening. I’d come back.
