Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well-curated modern-day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boombox, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures, and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry. Absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish. Austin took care of us and just made us feel right at home. Made great recommendations to us and just did pretty perfect service overall. It was very loud which was expected and didn’t bother us all that much, what was a little annoying was these people beside us with ring lights blinding us all dinner but other than that, perfect service all the way through. Couldn’t recommend the tasting menu enough!!! Great value with so many great options:)

Amazing food and great service. One of the best spots in NY for a special dinner. Lower level is definitely busier and more energetic. Prices are off the charts, but food is always spot on.

Food was out of this world, ambiance stellar, and of course the experience was next level. On top of that, our waiter Joseph was OUTSTANDING. I’ve traveled the world for food and wine - this place, plus Joseph’s stewardship captaining the experience, was actually magical So, I’d recommend it :)
