Born in San Antonio, Texas, Nixtamali Molino + Comedor is a unique Mexican culinary experience bringing flavors from different regions of Mexico like: Mexico City, Yucatan, Oaxaca among other Northern regions of Mexico.Over the years, the value of corn has deteriorated, and our main objective is to revive and maintain this value in Mexican gastronomy. Ida Claire is a funky, southern influenced restaurant & bar open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is notched up southern but has influences from different regions. You’ll most likely see dishes you’ve heard of before but with little twists here and there. Our sandwiches will be served on biscuits & we’ll have chicken & waffles on every menu. Brunch is obviously southern & will be a big part of what we do. The drinks are takes on classics like the Mint Julep but revved up & including a lot of house made ingredients.

Pharm Table is our favorite place to dine when visiting San Antonio. It is rare to find a restaurant that cares so deeply about the sourcing of their food and drinks, and the presentation and taste of everything we’ve tried there has been outstanding. The service is fantastic as well. Finally, we appreciated meeting the owner who checked in with us several times to make sure all was well. Highly recommend!

While I was expecting the menu to be very interesting and unusual I did not realize what small portions for $100 a person. However I’m keeping in mind that each dish was prepared fresh at the time you order every vegetable was fresh ,you could tell it had just been chopped or sautéed , and the spices were very different from anything you would find here in San Antonio. So I think keeping those things in mind it was an excellent experience.

They were flexible with my reservation as our group was running late from a convention. That was great. My favorite feature they offer is half serving sizes for most of their entrees. This was so nice it allowed my wife and I to try different entrees and share.

The ahi tuna is my recommendation for a starter course. Paired with a beautiful wine. Perfect! Next I ordered the braised beef short ribs and it was amazing! My spouse ordered the scallops and risotto and that was the best risotto I’ve tasted. Ever. Amazing staff and atmosphere! I only have one wish. And that’s to have cocktails available. Only a beautiful wine list, sake, and a few light beers. Definitely will be coming back!
