When asked to define of The Crossing, Owner/Executive Chef Jim Fiala often says that he is a chef that buys locally whenever possible and cooks as any French and/or Italian chef would given the ingredients sourced. Joining Jim is Chef Thu Rein Oo who brings passion and years of experience to the kitchen. Our food is fresh, organic (whenever possible), seasonal and by design very simple.     Best restaurant in STL, hands down! Chef’s tasting menu with wine pairings, extraordinary! Such a special place, great music, wait staff and ambience in addition to the fabulous food! EVERYTHING is exceptional! This has been my favorite restaurant since the first time we dined there about 12 years ago!!

    Not inexpensive but a tremendous value because everything they do is top-notch without being pretentious or stuffy. The Crossing has long been on my short list of the best restaurants in St. Louis, but over the last few years it has really separated itself from the pack in my opinion and pretty much stands alone at this point, at least for what I'm looking for. Keep up the fantastic work!

    We started with beet carpaccio which was amazing. Then shared the pear and gorgonzola salad. The birthday boy got a steak and I got the Delicata Squash side. At that point I was so full that I could barely finish half, even though it was delicious. Everything about the evening was wonderful and our server, Jordan, was engaging. There when we needed her but not hovering. It's a lively atmosphere, so not the place if you want to have a quiet convo but the food and service are top notch.

    Every thing we had was amazing! The beef Wellington was phenomenal! Also the short ribs were good just needed a bit more sauce and was a tad bit dry. Espresso martini 🍸 was a great choice it was the perfect balance! I can’t wait to try this place again!

    Had a fantastic time here. Husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary. Got the star treatment. Got the chef’s tasting menu and loved everything they brought out. Big props to Ethan and John for the great care. Will definitely recommend this place and will be back again.
