Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in West Palm Beach

There are limited indoor options for food at the Belgrove. Most seating seems to be on the Veranda. Not sure what will happen if it storms. But I digress. This restaurant is very nicely decorated however, there is no wall or noise barrier separating the bar area and dining room. If you were looking for a quiet romantic evening, this isn’t the place. The bar has tvs with sports on in addition to the loud music. During our meal someone turned the bright lights on and everyone was a little stunned after sitting in the dim lighting. The manager asked the bar to turn the music down at least twice that I saw and yet people were having to raise their voices to hear each other. I’m not going to say it was a totally unpleasant experience because the food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Just letting you know what to expect noise wise. It seems like the veranda was much quieter, so in hindsight we might’ve chosen that option. This is a beautiful property but $$$. Once the new kinks get worked out, it will be worth the stay. I also think the prices were a little high for the atmosphere we dined in.

Food and service was outstanding. I will definitely come back there again.

Wonderful, delicious, pleasant, impressive dining experience. Food was exemplary and even the table water was delicious. I’m serious. The staff are very pleasant and successfully accommondated my gluten intolerance with delicious Eggs Florentino. I did supply my own gf bread but they actually have yummy gf muffins, small raspberry cakes, and macaroons in the attached bakery. The ambience of the interior was wonderful in the larger bright room with a towering ceiling filled with hanging real orchids. The sound level was pleasant. Overall, My husband and I had a very enjoyable breakfast. Wish it was closer to where we live as we would go often.

Dinner at Fern was delicious! I had been there previously for “flights and bites” happy hour - also recommend - but going for dinner was even better! We started with a few small plates, the squash blossoms were stuffed and perfectly crispy! (And the honeycomb on the side just enhanced the light spice from the jalapeño) For dinner, my husband had the Red Sea Bass with a pesto risotto- his only criticism as he devoured it was he wanted even more of the delicious roasted tomatoes for a pop of acidity :) I had the short ribs with Japanese sweet potato mash… perfection! (And I have no idea why I was given a knife at all, it all just melted in the mouth!) we managed to also try the key lime coconut cake - like the best key lime pie ever! And all of this on Wine Wednesday so we splurged on a pricier bottle - because it was half off! The server was sweet and knowledgeable and overall a great experience!

The Moroccan Lamb dish was one of the most delicious blends of sweet and savory and the lamb meat that fell apart with a single fork stroke. To add the grapes leaves, hummus and fattoush salad was wonderful. Excellent meal!!!
