Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Thornton

We went to Famille for my 70th birthday dinner, just my husband and myself. It was absolutely amazing! We started with Grey Goose Martinis and their Artisan Cheese Chareuterie Board (A MUST!). I had the Bison Short Rib/Brussel Sprouts/Buttermilk Garlic Pomme Purée (mash potatoes). delicious! My husband had the Braised Duck Leg/Pork Belly Braised Red Cabbage/Sweet Potato, Cranberry Demi Glaze also amazing! We had a bottle of their Herriot Champangne…OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! WE ended with their Chocolate Cake/Hot Fudge (They put a candle on it for my birthday and it was free!) my husband had the Winter Citrus Tart. We shared both! What a very special celebration!

After a much-needed facelift and revamp, the tired Meritage restaurant has been transformed into a beautiful new restaurant, The Camper, and no detail has been overlooked in this newly renovated space. The delectably wonderful menu offerings are impeccably presented and delicious! The best part of the visit was our server, Adriana, who was very friendly and attentive - such a pleasant experience! As long-time Omni members, we are delighted to see the fantastic transformation taking place at the hotel and look forward to our future visits!

Our ramales-making cooking group of 6 really enjoyed our reunion at Sunday brunch at El Jefe. We excited with the heat of the guacamole, and the new-to-us Xni Pec salsa. The dishes we ordered were colorful and satisfying with authentic succulent carnitas, outstanding potatoes, delicious hue is rancheros. The service was great—just the right amount of attention. We love the decor and the Sunnyside neighborhood. We’re already talking about when we can return to try the dinner menu with its great variety!
