Here, French techniques (think pain perdu for breakfast and cochon de lait for dinner) play on the roots of New Orleans cuisine using fresh, local ingredients. New Orleans is renowned for its French cuisine, and you won’t have to leave the confines of The Eliza Jane to enjoy delicious fare within a French bistro. Couvant specializes in classic French cooking serving entrees that pay homage to French history and regional specialties. Never pretentious, the dishes and service at Couvant are purposefully simple and social. Nestle into an intimate dining room banquette. Can not say enough good things about our dinner at Vessel. My wife and I went while on vacation for Thanksgiving Dinner. They had a three course fixed menu. Every course was Delicious. The pork was Phenomenal. Cooked to Perfection and was so tender. The drinks were strong and flavorful. Our server Ben was Fantastic. He was working Thanksgiving, yet was cheerful, prompt, and a pleasure to talk to. For being busy it was not overly loud and had a Great selection of background music playing. Last but not least, the restaurant was stunning! The Old Church was so Beautiful and the Bar was so neatly designed. Will absolutely be back when in town

Lots of small misses, but it's a holiday and the food was really good. The service team did what they could to make things right. Whole fried chicken was amazing, all the sides were good. I'd come back.

We had lunch @ 1 pm on a Monday - so it was on the quieter side. We ordered the Fried Chicken Biscuit and the Chicken & Feta sandwich. The food and the drinks were so delicious we forgot to take photos to share. We really appreciated the very friendly greeting and super helpful service with wonderful recommendations. The cheerful staff made us feel welcome - would definitely dine here again! Nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating.
