- AAlfredoSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoThe food and ambiance are very strong. No pretense, but solid food. The service is top notch, especially from Willow, who was kind and excellent and thoughtful.More infoThe Grill at The Lodge at Torrey PinesPrice: Moderate• American• La Jolla•4.7
- AAllisonSan Diego •17 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThis place is one of our favorite places to eat. I always love their salsa (great earthy flavor) and chips - they season their chips and it’s so good. We love to start with the eloté spears (they are spicy but that is part of the fun of them!) and then we share any dish that also has the fig molé… it’s the best molé on the planet. Last night we got the chicken enchiladas and added the fig molé. It was much more spicy than usual which took away a *bit* from the flavor because it was a tad overpowering, but it was still really good. To drink I ordered a virgin mojito and it was great. I added some of my own sweetener but that’s just a preference thing. The blend of everything else was perfect. The waitstaff is SO KIND here. They are attentive and accommodating. I am hard of hearing and cannot hear a thing, usually, because ambient noise messes with my hearing aides. But they put us in the less busy side room and even turned the music down (without me even asking!) so that I was able to hear better. I’ve never had any waitstaff do that before and that alone makes me rate this place 10/10.More infoTamarindo Latin Kitchen- Del MarPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Del Mar•4.8

- KKatherineSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined on 24 Dec 2024The lobby was beautifully decorated for the season. The tea options were wide with oolong to herbal all laid out with matching tea pots, cups and saucers. The sandwiches were a modern take on the traditional ones with a sweet potato and maple, salmon with pomegranate garnish, and a turkey salad brioche. The vanilla bean and fruit scones served with strawberry-blueberry jam and clotted cream were excellent. The desserts were also beautiful and delicious.More infoLobby Lounge at Fairmont Grand Del MarPrice: Moderate• Californian• Carmel Valley•4.3
- BBingSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined on 28 Nov 2024The setup was great- not all tables filled at different times allowed for a more relaxed environment. There was no rush to have us depart after finishing our meal. Food was terrific, and service was very friendly and attentive. The $260 per plate makes this a one time event but worth it on that basis.More infoEvents at Fairmont Grand Del MarPrice: Very Expensive• Californian• Carmel Valley•4.3
