Best Restaurants with Bar Seating in Gold Coast / Streeterville

What a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner! The food was excellent and the service impeccable! Vinnie, our server, was so friendly and gave us great service. Also, every staff member that we passed entering and exiting greeted us! That small detail just enhanced our dining experience.

The staff clearing plates continued to interrupt throughout our dinner while we were trying to converse at the table. This is too often mistaken for good service.

Love the ambiance at Shaw’s! Great food and reasonably priced. Very attentive wait staff.

Bar Mar is always so good to have dinner in the Loop. I think menu was narrowed down this time but every meal on the menu is still SO GREAT

I had an incredible experience at Three Dots and a Dash the evening of 12/22/2024. We had reservations in the Bamboo Room, which is a quieter, more intimate, rum focused experience. Matt, the bartender that evening, was fabulous; attentive, thoughtful, engaged, and friendly. We ordered a few drinks from the menu then asked Matt to create something special for us and his drinks did not disappoint. My experience with Tiki and rum drinks is decent; having visited almost every Tiki bar from San Diego to San Francisco (including Trader Vic’s at SJC), Tacoma to Seattle, & a Mai Tai tour across Oahu). 3 Dots is a must do, especially if you are a tiki or rum fan. Food was great too. Next time I fly back to Chicago I will definitely visit again.
