Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. Really great steak. Love the old spot ribs. Bernaise sauce, Ash Baked Beetroot and Sticky toffee pudding all really good, as were all the other dishes. The service and the atmosphere make you glad to be alive, even in January. All this with a pretty full house, at lunch. You should go here.

One of the best meals out I’ve had in ages. Blacklock might be my new favourite Manchester restaurant. I loved everything about it - low key, unpretentious but such high-quality. Friendly staff, efficient service. It’s really excellent.
