The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. Executive Chef Gary Lee creates balanced seasonal menus, featuring Ivy classics, but accounting for today’s tastes, incorporating more Asian dishes, salads and vegetables, and the advent of a “sea and shells” section. Director Fernando Peire leads a strong and experienced team to deliver the unfaltering service for which The Ivy has become well known over the years. The Ivy welcomes customers without reservations at the central dining bar, where the A La Carte and Set menus are both served.

We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. Loved it.. don’t go to the Ivy and think it’s “posh” it’s good food and service with “feel good” menu. Special mention to the service staff, Paulina and the short haired waitress. Creme brûlée needs to be in a ramekin and a crunchy top, not flat and sugary with a blow torch.. everything else is good.. see you soon.

Quality is always high, and selections always are interesting. Good value considering the quality of the food. Wine list is reasonably priced. Staff is especially helpful and many are long term. Our favorite in London.

We had a dinner booked for 7.30pm they were running late with service but I have to say we hardly noticed the pub had an amazing atmosphere the staff are very attentive and apologetic, they took a drinks round off the bill for the long wait. The food was amazing I had the monk fish tail and my husband had the pork loin absolutely delicious. You must try the beef fat popcorn omg it’s very tasty they should sell bags of this loved it. We will definitely e back can’t wait to sample the Sunday dinner.

The staff were absolutely phenomenal at this branch. They were attentive to my friend with allergies and very accommodating. On top of that, the food was fantastic. The smoke mackerel salad and dump steak were delicious. A very positive experience. Will definitely go again. Thank you to the staff!!

Very enjoyable and high quality pre theatre 3 course set meal. Bit of a shame we had to specifically ask for the menu we'd booked, and the £2pp cover charge should really be in the price. But food was extremely nice and service exemplary.
