Best Restaurants for People Watching in Northwest

Met my cousins here for Thanksgiving. VERDAD was a new experience for all of us and we were duly impressed. For starters, the calamari was to die for, and for the main dish we each had was something unique and delicious. The service was impeccable, the setting and decor were tasteful and trendy, and every dish a work of culinary art. We will definitely return! Honestly, the only thing out of “sync” for me was the background music. It’s tough to choose tunes for “modern Mexican” I suppose, but I might have preferred some lively classical guitar genre or smooth Latin-inspired jazz. In any case, the tunes in the background weren’t jarring or annoying…just a little out of place. Looking forward to another visit soon!

From the time we walked in to the time we left the entire staff was warm and very welcoming. The thanksgiving day menu was delicious and they also had a good selection if you did not want turkey. Our server Anne N made us feel very welcome. She explained the menu and gave us time to decide. Anne N was very patient with me in deciding what to order . The food came in a timely manner and was delicious. Anne N was very attentive to us in making sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend Paul Martin’s to celebrate any special occasion or just to have a great meal and dinning experience.

Their happy hour is my favorite excuse to not cook dinner during the week. The Condesa margarita has to be my favorite cocktail in all of Austin, and my favorite weekday happy hour treat! The service here is always top notch, and the ingredients are always fresh!

Our host Alexis was very kind, cordial, pleasant and very helpful. She cared well for us.

Always a pleasure to find a table at Bazille where the waitstaff is always gracious and welcoming. Husband can't get enough of the freshly baked bread, and their menu options are consistently enjoyable. Especially appreciate personal choice of tables, and outdoor dining in the fall and spring can be pleasant. Hope to return month after month, year after year.
