The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this. We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

Food was great, only downside was being told from 5.55pm (we booked in at 5pm) was that we needed to be out by 6.15pm and felt like we had to rush our cocktails that we’d ordered at the end. Other than that, really good though. Maybe just worth extending table booking to 90 mins!

The service was excellent and the dishes were well proportioned and the food was just the right temperature - well done to the kitchen Staff. Our first time at The Hawthorn. Was a lovely restaurant. Greeted by very helpful polite staff. Very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Efficient and professional. Pleasant and polite. I had the flat iron Steak with peppercorn sauce and crispy skin on fries. Absolutely delicious. Couldn’t find fault. Service was very prompt. The fries were the best I’ve ever tasted. My husband had the Burger with fries and he really enjoyed it too. Plenty of choices from the wine and beverage section. Prosecco was very nice as was the Ilkley beer. We didn’t have room for desert. Again nice choices from a traditional menu. Very nice indeed and we will definitely be returning.
