Paisans is an Italian word for friends, but to us, it also means family. Family has always been at the center of Paisans’ beginning and the driving force behind its success. Paisans Pizza was started by Luigi, an immigrant to the United States, in 1985. In a small corner store in Cicero, Illinois, Luigi started making pizzas out of a household kitchen oven. Shortly after, Luigi was joined by his son Pete, fulfilling orders one at a time using hand-written tickets hanging from clothespins in their tiny kitchen.Pete spent the next 30 years expanding the business, while also refining the Paisans brand and menu. We have been coming here for over 15 years and the food is always outstanding. Sometimes the servers are a little bit too busy to be attentive, but that’s a very minor issue and does not at all subtract from the dining experience.

Always great! Christmas Day Dinner is usually stressful and expensive at a restaurant. It was perfect at Francesca’s last night. They did a great job allowing off the menu selections, friendly service and a beautiful atmosphere. But, pls for the love of Italian food, bring back the old Ceasar Salad. The new recipe is not good. The old one was perfection!!!

Good food and good service. We were grateful to find a restaurant open on Christmas Day. Christmas Day was Wednesday and their Wednesday specials were $9.99 drinks and $12.99 pasta. I had the baked ziti off the $12.99 pasta menu. My husband had chicken Vesuvio. The food had really good flavor. We were also offered a salad with our meal for an extra dollar. The quality of salad was very good. I had the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I ate every drop of the salad. As an appetizer, we had calamari. Again very good we will definitely come back.
