Spanning 6 decades and three generations, Il Portico Restaurant on Kensington High Street has been cooking regional Italian specialities since it was first opened in the 1960"s by acclaimed chef Pino Chiavarini.     Was sceptical at first as we saw it was a ground lower floor…..however it is a great place with beautiful decor, we received amazing service, amazing food and amazing vibes. Our waiter Azamat was great, he made us feel very welcome and gave good recommendation to have the sushi platter. we had a lovely evening in Ayllu and we will be back soon!

    Food was lovely, we got a table in the shade in a sunny day and the service was delightful. They are also very kind as they brought a water bowl for my dog :-)

    First time visiting both London and the Gaucho in 10 years; brought some friends for a birthday celebration. I ordered the Lomo (which was cooked to perfection, medium rare) with bearnaise, a side of chips and two scoops of some of the richest ice cream I’ve ever had for dessert. Our server topped off the evening for us by surprising the man of the hour with a special celebratory cheesecake complete with birthday wishes spelled out in chocolate drizzle. An extraordinarily delightful experience at the Gaucho just like I remember all those years ago that I’d happily recommend to anyone, any time!
