The interior design was so well thought out, designed, and executed that you are transported into a Brazilian-Texan food haven. Claudio Martins, the General manager welcomed us and I immediately felt welcomed. You must visit this amazing restaurant with lots of time on hand. The salad bar, at $31.99, is worth it on its own, with many amazing options, like shrimp and smoked salmon, different cheeses, artichokes, and asparagus, to name but a few. The full buffet @ $51.99 includes all the meat cuts, randomly served to your table. I enjoyed all the lamb cuts, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Victor Hugo, the new floor manager suggested that we match things up like their marinated beets with goat cheese, beef rib, and a drizzle of chimichurri—the marinated pineapple with the pork cuts and mozzarella balls—the parmesan chicken with asparagus and almond green beans. What an amazing taste butt explosion. Alicia, another floor manager stopped by and we enjoyed another great conversation. Julio behind the bar hooked us up with delicious caipirinha and wine. Well worth it and I will definitely visit again and again. ~ Weruschka OosthuizenMore infoTexas de Brazil - San AntonioPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.2

- MMarcoSan Antonio •1 review5.0Dined on 1 Jan 2025The Ambler Restaurant offers a beautifully inviting atmosphere that feels both comfortable and sophisticated. The staff is exceptionally polite and professional, making for a delightful dining experience. Our waiter frequently checked in on us to ensure everything was to our liking. When I mentioned that I would prefer my dish to be heated a bit more, she promptly and cheerfully addressed my request. To my surprise, the chef personally came out to apologize and graciously offered a complimentary dessert, along with a freshly prepared plate that was absolutely perfect. I left feeling thoroughly satisfied and would give this place all the stars if I could! The service was excellent and the ambiance elegant. I will definitely be returning!More infoAmbler - Texas Kitchen + CocktailsPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.2
- GGeraldSan Antonio •11 reviews5.0Dined on 1 Jan 2025We ate at Fogo de Chão on New Year’s Day to start our 2025 and it was very good. The restaurant was busier than I expected but the three of us had a reservation so not to worry. The staff brought my 101 year old mother the salt-free lamb chops that she always requests which were a bit overcooked but still tender and delicious. My friend and I enjoyed the other various cuts of beef, and we all enjoyed the salad bar and the sides… especially the little cheese breads. We’ve tried the cheese breads at other Brazilian restaurants but the best ones are at Fogo. The only negative was the very last cut of meat for me which was a chunk of picaña instead of a slice. It was very fibrous and hard to cut but I suppose that was because it was a remaining portion of the meat instead of a sliced piece. Other than that, we had a very good experience once again and we will be back! P.S. I forgot to take any pictures this time because I was enjoying the food a little too much.More infoFogo de Chao - San AntonioPrice: Moderate• Brazilian• Downtown•4.3
