During my recent visit, I indulged in a few standout items that truly showcased the restaurant’s commitment to quality and flavor. To start, I tried two cocktails: the Honi Poni and the Lava flow. The Honi Poni was a refreshing, well-balanced drink with a nice citrus kick, making it a great way to start the evening. The Lava Glow, on the other hand, was visually stunning and packed with tropical flavors that made every sip enjoyable. For food, the Butternut Squash Ravioli was a standout dish. The rich, creamy filling had a perfect balance of sweetness and savoriness, complemented by a light, flavorful sauce that tied everything together beautifully. The Coconut Chowder was another highlight—warm, comforting, and infused with a delicious coconut essence that added depth to every spoonful. For the main course, I went with the Steak Frites, which featured a perfectly cooked steak paired with garlic fries. The fries were crispy, golden, and packed with garlicky goodness, making them the perfect accompaniment to the tender, flavorful steak.More infoMoku KitchenPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Honolulu•4.6

The free popovers are delicious and they're very generous with them. I often have the hamburger for lunch and it was delicious as always. Finally, the service is excellent, friendly, helpful and efficient. It's a perfect choice for a special, leisurely lunch.More infoMariposa at Neiman Marcus - Ala MoanaPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Honolulu•4.7

- SSandraHawaii •14 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoOur Macadamia Nut crusted Mahimahi was very tasty! The beet/mixed green salad was also very good! Biscuits fresh and buttery. The only downside was that the host at the door never smiled once at us, even when we first arrived. In fact, he looked annoyed that I asked to be seated inside the restaurant after initially reserving an outdoor table. He checked his seating chart and instead of telling us that it was possible to be seated indoors, he didn't say a word. He just had another person lead us to the table which to my pleasant surprise, was indoors. You don't want a person at the front entrance greeting you the way he did. Makes you wonder what kind of service you will receive for the rest of the nightMore infoMerriman's HonoluluPrice: Expensive• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Honolulu•4.7

Love the octopus and cod dishes in particular. The lobster pot looks amazing though I haven’t tried it yet. Expensive but worth it. If cost is an issue, have your drinks elsewhere before and after. The $45 corkage fee (for up to 2 bottles) isn’t bad so that could be a reasonable option for wine!More infoMina's Fish HousePrice: Moderate• Seafood• Kapolei•4.7
