Don’s Favorite Foods is a prix-fixe restaurant created by husband and wife team Chef Don Salamone and Kate Laurents in partnership with Sommelier Adam Galbraith. Cocktails courtesy of Jeffrey Morgenthaler & "Banjo" Amberg. Our menu changes monthly and highlights dishes Don grew up with as well as those he mastered though working at Michelin-starred restaurants across the country. From Don: You may find gnocchi like my Ma used to make or Italian sausage modeled after my Godfather’s, Oreste “Ernie” Capone. You might find scallops still in their shells, Oregon pork in the style of Braciole, & popovers I learned to make from my mother-in-law, Terry, because she makes those every Christmas morning... beef tartare, sea urchin, caviar, etc too. These things are all my favorites. We hope you’ll find your new favorites here too. *Note- if you are using a gift certificate to book you must email reservations@donsfavoritefoods.com - do not book through OpenTable. We LOVE Higgins - both the Bar, with its bistro menu, and the Dining room, with more expansive and spendy offerings. As a pioneer in Farm to Table, Higgins never disappoints us. Gracious, comfortable service, creative menus of regional food items and fine cocktails, beer & wine offerings.

I love this resturant. Everything about it is excellent! I’m not sure even where to begin. From appetizers to salad to main entree, there is nothing not to like. The service is always excellent. The Tuscany Campora 2021 is an excellent bottle of wine to pair with your meal. Well worth money spent especially for a special occasion.

What a delightful surprise to find this little gem tucked inside an unassuming storefront in Downtown Beaverton. Inside are six charming tables, an attentive chef and staff, and a delicious and sometimes surprising tasting menu. From a perfectly seared scallop to a delicious vegetarian "meatball," the meal was excellent and the staff were so nice. The 70's playlist added the perfect vibe to a relaxed but special meal. Loved that they have a "half glass" wine pairing option. At the end, the eggnog semifreddo with a gingerbread wafer cookie was the best dessert I've had in a long time. The pairing with the Godfather cocktail was inspired. I can't believe this lovely spot wasn't on my radar sooner!
