Izakaya Den is Denver’s popular Japanese gastropub, modeled after the lively after hours establishments found throughout Japan. The restaurant is located on South Pearl Street and is the second restaurant of the Kizaki brothers, founders and owners of Sushi Den. The menu is arranged in a tapas style, serving traditional Japanese small plates along with dishes infused with international flavors and textures. The more traditional Japanese offerings include sashimi and nigiri, sourced from daily fish shipments from around the globe, along with dumplings and noodle dishes.     Our food was great. Our table was ready for us upon arrival of our reservation. I love that they have pretty much eliminated the use of seed oils in the restaurant. I always feel good when leaving from a meal here. Came with a big party and three were small kids- the server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing.

    It’s always a great idea coming to Matsuhisa. The food is amazing, impeccable service and atmosphere. I really like that although they did have the TV’s on for the nuggets game they hide out of sight after it was done (I don’t like upscale dinning with the feeling of a sports bar). Highly recommend the Mocchi cake for dessert and the Adam roll (not on the menu).

    This neighborhood gem in Englewood consistently delivers great food and service. We arrived on a Saturday shortly before 5pm the catch Happy Hour before having dinner. The Celery Root Scallops are amazing and the Korean BBQ Pork Bites provide a savory offset. For dinner we had the Crab Stuffed Sole and the Mushroom Risotto and would recommend both. We do not get over to this area but once every several months, and One Barrel is always a treat when we do.
