Really great steak. Love the old spot ribs. Bearnaise sauce, Ash Baked Beetroot and Sticky toffee pudding all really good, as were all the other dishes. The service and the atmosphere make you glad to be alive, even in January. All this with a pretty full house, at lunch. You should go here.

We went for the Friday Chippy Tea. Our food was fabulous. Perfect pudding, delicious fish and amazing chips. The pudding came with an extra little pot of gravy, just what a northerner needs 😉 Couldn’t fault anything. We were however on a tab,e in an area farthest from the fire and were initially all on our own, so felt a bit away from the real body of the pub, but that wasn’t so bad. Service was very good, didn’t have to wait long, and staff were friendly, polite and courteous.

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough , it was not our 1st visit. We had a fabulous evening, great atmosphere, brilliant service , friendly helpful staff, delicious food , their was plenty of Gluten Free options for our friend ,which made our visit even more enjoyable , we will definitely be returning. Me and my partner went for our 2 years. And as a chef myself I was very pleased with everything. The Steaks were cooked perfectly. It was the best chocolate milkshake I have had, too. The Decore was to my liking, too. I will definitely be coming again and recommending.
