Best Date Night Restaurants in Great Yeldham

We were visiting Kara Lounge & Grill the second time, with our friends from France. The food was superb, we ordered kix of starters like cacik/sucuk(spicy Turkish sausage absolutely fantastic)and for the main we had House special mix platter for 4-5 people. Honestly we were stuffed with all the starters that we could not handle the main dish. So had to pack up. Everything was very fresh good quality food. Also had some mock-tails, decent size glasses. We will be coming back again and again as its one to go place in town.

Food was absolutely delicious, best sushi restaurant I have ever been. Very quiet place so is nice to enjoy food and have a nice conversation without needing to raise your voice in your table. Highly recommended.

This was a special event in the Library part of the bar/restaurant which was decorated for Xmas with wreaths in the window & white tablecloths 🎄 This was the restaurant hosting Cong Cong Bo (Amphora) for her "Festive Wines for Christmas" event..........hoping they allow her to host events etc regularly ☺️ The space is not musty or dusty for a library BUT it was too dark to really see the wines. Also, when the door opens to the bar, the noise invades the space and makes it hard to hear the speaker..........I was nearest the door too 😞 The restaurant confirmed they could accommodate my dietary requirements well in advance for the canapé pairing; highlights were the tiddly venison cottage pie, the cod cheek 😋 & the BLUE cheese I was shocked I almost liked 🤯 Obv the wines were excellent, wouldn't expect anything less of Cong!!

We were served by Marvin (hope I spelt correctly) and he was amazing. It was my birthday and he was attentive and we had a wonderful evening - please thank him for us.

Food & service were excellent. The pub has been really upgraded and felt warm, comfy & inviting. It was very busy, but all the staff were very efficient & friendly and every table was checked on regularly. The small plates and desserts we had were absolutely delicious & well presented. Some of the other food we saw go past us to other tables also looked delicious, so we'll have to go back to try the rest of the menu!!
