- SStaceyVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •67 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe go as often as we can -- definitely at Christmas. This time we were in a cozy room with a fireplace. Dinners was DELICOUS as always. Everything included -- just a few choices to make and drinks aplenty! Great martinis and service that is beyond (Trevor and our carver were fantastic). A San Francisco institution!More infoHouse of Prime RibPrice: Very Expensive• Steak• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.8
- MMelanieVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoRegardless of whether you eat with your eyes or with your stomach, you won’t be disappointed. My husband and I had dinner here last night and we couldn’t be more thrilled. The restaurant itself is absolutely gorgeous and the food is outstanding in every way. The menu is interesting and innovative. We enjoyed appetizers of Carne Crudo and Insalata Tritata which were absolutely delicious. Our entrees of rockfish and lasagne verde were perfect. We sat at the bar which was lively and festive considering it’s the holiday season. The staff is super friendly and the vibe is lively and fun. A definite must try if you haven’t already!More infoChe Fico San FranciscoPrice: Expensive• Italian• North Panhandle / USF•4.7
- JJimVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoMy husband and I are Florio regulars for several reasons: * The service — including Jamie the bartender, Josh and Peter the servers, and David the host — are always on their ‘A’ game. We feel well taken care of when we dine here. My husband has trouble walking due to Parkinson’s, and the staff here is always ready to help us get to our table. * The food — never had a mediocre or bad dish here. The parpadelle, lasagna (not currently on the menu), hanger steak, roasted crispy chicken and cacio e Pepe are particular favorites. The desserts are excellent as well, including the olive oil cake and caramel gelato. * The drinks — though I’m not a regular martini drinker, I love the Florio martini. It’s delicious. Florio offers a well-curated wine list, too. * The ambience — sophisticated and casual. Lighting is at just the right level. Not too low so you can’t read the menu, not too bright where you feel like you’re at a chain restaurant. For total transparency, we have no business or family ties to Florio. We’re not friends with anyone who works here or anyone who owns or manages the restaurant. In other words: We have nothing to gain from posting a glowing review. I just like to recognize good people doing a great job.More infoFlorioPrice: Moderate• French• Pacific Heights•4.8
- RRohanSan Francisco Bay Area •11 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoNopa is a really special place. It does everything SO well. I will start with the food. Their menu stays interesting over time with new dishes regularly introduced with the seasons and what’s seasonally available. The ingredient quality and preparation are really next level and I don’t think there is a single thing on the menu that anyone would not enjoy. The flavor of every dish is always surprising in a wonderful way with interesting combinations and textures. And plating is, of course, just beautiful. And my god, don’t just order one dish per person; share! You will be wowed. Their mainstay burger should not be missed either. If you’re into mixed drinks or wine, again, Nopa is standout. And even if you don’t drink, there are mocktails that I’m confident you’ll enjoy. Next let’s talk about the staff. Nopa has such a special and wonderful culture. Their entire staff is very well versed in the ingredients and preparation of their food. They’re also extremely kind and accommodating. There seems to be a genuine enthusiasm and shared belief that they make great food, and I would agree. They have opinions and can definitely suggest wine and beverage pairings to what you order. They know where ingredients were sourced from. And their attention to detail is also remarkable. I made a note on our reservation that we’d love a table instead of the high table if one came available and true to form, they came through. Someone took time to read the comment I had left! If you have a chance to dine here, take it. Even if you don’t have a reservation, there is a high table and bar area that may be able to accommodate a drop in. It’s a lovely atmosphere and always a joy to be a patron here. Thank you Nopa staff for the unique place you’ve created here.More infoNopa - San FranciscoPrice: Expensive• Californian• North Panhandle / USF•4.6
- RRichardLos Angeles •6 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoAlways An amazing experience! Everything on the Menus is dependable and superb. We had an extra person and a miscommunication on our reservation however Val the lead hostess and manager made a huge effort to accommodate us and ensure we could fit our guest. I’ve never seen a manager go through so much effort and be as gracious as Val was and go above and beyond to help us out. Thank you Val.More infoKokkari EstiatorioPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.9
