Never wanted for anything and he made sure we had drinks without asking and checked in frequently. We had the pickled beet risotto and it was spectacular! Glad we went with the recommendation. The most wonderful things were the genial and knowledgeable service from Joanne and the second was the quality of the food. We had both the Poached Pear Salad (the pear the perfect sweetness to compliment the vinaigrette) and the half-Caesar wedge which was also crisp and well presented. The classic liver and onions with bacon was very American and well cooked. They generously allowed a substitution for the mashed potatoes with asparagus. This Louisiana native really enjoyed their version of shrimp and grits. Shrimp were perfectly cooked; the sauce had the perfect seasoning with generous portions of andouille sausage. our pre dinner cocktails were well executed; the rolls (with their garlic and parsley topping and the whipped butter) were spot-on.
