And I cannot thank our hostess enough who arranged a special table indoors for us on literally 2 hours’ notice, when I realized we had driven almost 400 miles the day before,planning to celebrate at Connors and I had thought I had made the reservation but had not! Everyone else treated us royally as well. This is one place where “same old, same old….” Is a GOOD thing, like each time in the past. We now plan to dine at Connors at least once every time we come near Sanibel or Ft Myers. Everything was superb! The scallops were marinated and had a distinct taste. If you prefer pan fried with butter or oil this will be noticeably different. Now let me talk about the service. Our party of six dines often. A mix of fine dining and established sit down restaurants with various food cuisines. Our waiter was fabulous! It’s the little things like the use of the crumb knife and the 4oz pours when refilling your wine glass that made the visit special. In the end, a special comped dessert for our birthday guest. Alejandro, our server, was polite, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. The food was absolutely delicious—my mom loved the mussels appetizer, and my kale salad was tender and flavorful. The scallops and sea bass were perfectly cooked and so filling we couldn’t finish, but we made sure to bring cannolis home for dessert. After dinner, they walked us out and wished us a great evening. The Ravioli Cardinale and Rigatoni Carne were superb as was the caesar salad. The bolognese sauce on the rigatoni was fantastic and for dessert the pistachio gelato was amazing.
