Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Southfield

Every person who took care of us from the Maitre De to our waiter Manuel , our bar staff Grace and the cheese and bread waiter were fantastic and friendly, even to a table of senior citizens. This was my first experience at Cafe Cortina and it won’t be my last. I selected the restaurant to try something different and not have to drive very far. But now I know that I will return for hopefully many more special occasions ( this was my wife’s birthday).

From the perfectly cooked steak and lamb chops to the delectable sides, every bite was a true delight. Adding to the experience was our amazing server, Moriah, whose exceptional service elevated our night even further. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her warm and attentive demeanor made us feel right at home. The experience at the Troy has been such a pleasure over the last few months. Kevin, the manager there is just amazing! He always makes sure that the experience is unforgettable. He takes the time to discuss the entrees, as well as making the perfect wine pairings. He really make us feel like he knows us personally. He makes my parties look forward to a return visit!!!

The entire experience was great! The food was fantastic and the waiter and hibachi cook were fun and responsive!

When we arrived we were told they could not honor the reservation. It was too busy and open table did not communicate well. Blake was actually a little rude. It’s the holiday and I try to be accepting, but not to paying customers. She never even said she was sorry. I have made reservations before never had an issue. Luckily 2 seats at the bar opened and we dined. Capital Grille at the bar is always good. Bartender is amazing Jason!
