The only bad thing is that we couldn’t hear the Sinatra music that was playing in the bar area. You Should have had 2 singers or pipe the music into the ballroom area .More infoTeca Newtown SquarePrice: Expensive• Italian• Newtown Square•4.5
- DDaraVIPPhiladelphia County •148 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe went to White Dog Cafe Glen Mills last night for Valentine's Day dinner and to celebrate the Eagles' Superbowl win!!! We rarely go out on Valentine's Day, but since it was a special day, the three of us went. Anthony was our waiter, it was good to see him again after a while! For drinks, Dad and I had soda, and Mom had root beer. For appetizers, Mom and Dad each ordered a bowl of the Squash Bisque. Mom had hers without the roasted pumpkin seeds, and just the chili oil, while Dad had his with both. They enjoyed it, as always!! for the main course, Mom ordered the=salad special. Dad ordered his favorite, the Verlasso Salmon, which was cooked perfectly by Chef Mike! It was pecan-crusted, and was served with a maple bourbon glaze, roasted yams, apples. and Eagle Road Farm lacinato kale. He really enjoyed it, as always!!! I ordered my usual favorite, the White Dog Double Cheddar Burger without the smoked bacon mayo, bibb lettuce, and tomato, and with just the cheese and grilled red onion, served on a brioche bun, served with a side of plain fries and a side of Roasted Brussels Sprouts, which had Pennsylvania maple dressing and bacon. They were gone in seconds!! Chef Pablo did an AMAZING job cooking my burger; he's the best! For dessert, Dad ordered one of the dessert specials, which was yellow cake with passion fruit and chocolate inside. I ordered the Chocolate Cheesecake without the spiced red wine cherries, and just the chocolate ganache and whipped cream. It was delicious, as always!!! Jaton, Oy, and Dan, the assistant managers and general manager, and Charlie, another server, all came by to our table to see how our food was! Thank you for another delicious White Dog Cafe Glen Mills! See you again soon! Happy Valentine's Day and Go EAGLES!!More infoWhite Dog Cafe Glen MillsPrice: Moderate• American• Glen Mills•4.6
- LLaurenNew York City •19 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThis was the first time we visited Estia and we had a wonderful experience. We started with an array of apps including octopus and spanakopita-both of them were excellent and not to be missed. The spanakopita was one of best I’ve had outside of Greece-it tasted as though it were prepared by a grandmother and had a delicious buttery crust-not the usual phyllo which can often be badly prepared. The Estia chips were a bit underwhelming, and the lemon potatoes were undercooked with no sign of any citrus. Our entrees of halibut and swordfish kabob were both delicious, with the standout being the halibut -PERFECTLY cooked and wonderful with the olive tapenade. The swordfish was also excellent but ever so slightly overcooked. As first time diners and also because it was my birthday, we got an array of desserts on the house…and they were all PHENOMENAL….from the Greek yogurt cheese cake with honey, to the almond cookies and the baklava -it’s really hard to say which one was my fave-they were all outstanding in their own right. In terms of the wine, we selected a bottle and they didn’t have it…so, they offered us a comparable one with a higher price tag but lowered the price to match the cost of the bottle we ordered-that translates into fantastic customer service. Who does that?? A rare find these days…. Our server was personable, knowledgable and very attentive. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Estia and would return in the futureMore infoEstia Taverna – RadnorPrice: Expensive• Greek• Radnor•4.8
