Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Talbot's Corner

Incredible!! This was our first time at Harper’s and it was so good. The service and food were both fantastic. Our server (I wish I could remember her name because she was wonderful and treated us well) did a fantastic job describing the menu items. She even showed kindness to us as we celebrated our 18th anniversary with some champagne and crème brûlée. The oysters were perfection, the Caesar was delightful, and the lobster ravioli was amazing! The steak was like butter! The one thing we didn’t love were the Brussels sprouts - we like basic seared Brussels and these had a sauce that was a bit too heavy for us. However, everything else was great. We are locals and will definitely go back. Thanks for a great experience.

We have patronized O-Ku for several years and it always exceptional. Important is that good food, even great food is fantastic, but your team is always way above the mark on all levels. This is what we always recall first. We really had to laugh how everybody congratulated us on our 140th anniversary! We do age well... hahah. Great atmosphere, impeccable service. The food wasn’t the best steakhouse I’ve ever been too- but wasn’t bad. The shrimp cocktail was fresh, the cocktails were good- might have been better for a spot like this to have a mixologist on staff. The bread was amazing- however the truffle butter was over powering. Ordered a burger, bun was cheap- need to step up the bun and cheese game. The fries weren’t fresh cut, no onion rings on the menu- this is a steak house! In my party we ordered 2 different steaks and two sides. Corn bread wasn’t done all the way though, was soggy and underdone in center, creamed spinach was served in a small square bowl slopped on the side. Minor presentation things to work on. The salads we ordered weren’t show stoppers bacon bits from the freezer not lardons tossed in an abundance of dressing- instead of served on the side. Ordered the Freddie and the wedge. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great- but this spot didn’t earn my seal of approval to return or send people their way.

The food and service was great! I showed up a little too early (prior to the restaurant opening) and one of the sweet managers allowed me to wait inside because it was ridiculously cold outside. We sat at the chef's counter and the chef sent over multiple extra dishes for us to sample. We chatted with him near the end of our meal about the new menu coming and you could tell he really takes pride in work. Great place!

I took our team out to Hal's for a holiday celebration, and it was absolutely fabulous. Great wine selection and Old Fashions. The huge Seafood Tower was packed with tiers of fresh seafood and the steaks were the best we have had in Nashville. They were seasoned and cooked to perfection, much better than some other local steak or chop houses! And finally, Jeremy was such a fun and professional server. He helped with ordering the right number of sides and apps, and always had clutter removed from our table as we were cleaning up those plates! I won't hesitate to dine at Hal's again!
