The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize.     Another brunch before a Gopher football game. Once again, a terrific meal. Bloody Mary, one with vodka, one with gin, with just the right amount of spicy tomato mix. I had the eggs Benedict with short ribs and a generous amount of hash browns; my friend had a traditional breakfast with breakfast potatoes and Nueske bacon. Requested bar seats in order to watch the IU/OSU game and the Manny’s host delivered. Met a group of PSU fans who enjoyed pre game cocktails in the main dining room. worth the $$$$.

    Very good service. Timeliness of meals was exceptional. The sides were perfectly portioned to share amongst our table of 4. We had the carrots, brussels sprouts, and sweet potato au gratin. Steaks cooked to perfection. The garlic knots were delicious. I would return for sure!

    It is a beautiful room and the food was delicious. One of us had the Wellington Meatloaf. It looked so good. Another had the pork chop which was excellent and another had chicken pot pie. I had scallops. All very good. Service was excellent as well.
