The Story of Josephine’sThe story of Josephine’s begins during our executive chef Daniel LeBoon’s childhood. At eight years old, working for his father’s catering company, Daniel discovered a passion for food. This love — and undeniable talent — saw him intern at Philadelphia’s prestigious Le Bec-Fin. He went on to work in Paris at the venerable Hotel Vernet working under the renowned chef’s Alain Solvere and Alain Ducasse. In 2004, Daniel purchased Josephine’s in Marietta and developed an extremely loyal following based on the combination of great food, great atmosphere and great hospitality. Although Josephine’s closed in 2011, the name and the experiences are fondly remembered by countless people.

Set in a 1780 Pennsylvania Stone Farmhouse with deep windows and a warm pleasant atmosphere this is a family owned and operated restaurant that is recognized as one of the Best of Lancaster for dinner, Sunday Brunch, patio dining, wine list, atmosphere and romantic settings. Although our building is over 225 years old we update our menu daily! Change is a good thing at the Greenfield. We specialize in next day delivery of seafood while we continue to cut our own steaks. You will enjoy selections from our wine list that has been recognized by the Wine Spectator Magazine for over 9 years. Our patio and balcony over looking the bar is among our customers favorite requests for lunch and dinner seating, while the wine cellar has two of the most romantic tables in the area.     Our food took much longer to get than what would be expected and when we got it, it was just warm. Not hot, like it sat for awhile before being delivered to the table. However, the food was very good. I got their baby back ribs and they were truly fall off the bone. Done to perfection. The steaks were also very good. The waiter kept coming back to apologize for how long it was taking, which when looking around, it didn't seem all that busy. He did keep our drinks filled and got a nice tip. After all it wasn't his fault the food took so long. Overall, I would definitely go back again.

    Celebrated our 44th anniversary with our first visit to Josephine’s. Heard great things about it and we were not disappointed at all! Food was great, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was just right. Our waiter (Hunter) made the whole experience a great one. And the special menu insert was a very classy touch!!

    We had an amazing day, 9 ladies out to brunch to celebrate a birthday and we had a great server and did not feel rushed at all. The food was perfect and so many options. Loved the drinks and for the price it’s totally worth it, I will be back again with my husband. 10/10
