Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Ladera Ranch

Bloom is located directly across the street from the Mission San Juan Capistrano and was a convenient choice to dine at before Capistrano Nights. However, their flavorful food and attention to detail ended up being a much welcomed surprise. With so many restaurants to choose from within the block, they definitely stand out on service and professionalism alone. I will definitely be back.

We were promptly seated, the hostess was very kind and made sure we were seated in a booth that we requested. Our server took quite a while to see us, but a bus boy did come quickly with waters. We ended up ordering specialty drinks, which also took a while to come, but were very yummy. We ordered appetizers, came within an appropriate time. We each ordered an entree, and were ready to order another drink but our server took the menu and never returned to ask if we wanted another drink. The chicken was SO good, juicy and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the filet was not. The filet was ordered medium but came out cooked completely through, not a touch of pink was present. Our server didn’t come to check how our food was, so we couldn’t rectify the situation. To try to fill up, as we didn’t eat the filet, just the veggies and mashed potatoes, we did order a dessert. Unfortunately, the whiskey Bundt was INCREDIBLY dry… to the point of needing more water to finish it once the ice cream was already gone. Overall we are very disappointed as we do frequent this establishment when we can get out, which is not often, so this evening felt like a waste of both time and money.

Delicious homemade pasta that exudes freshness. Nice wine selection as well. Beautiful setting across from the mission.

They were busy, however the hostess was able to keep up with check-ins and patrons paying their bills. We had a reservation and waited about 10 minutes for our table. Our server was kind and explained all that they had to offer. Food was delicious. I would go back!

The staff at Domenico’s are always so gracious. We were warmly greeted on Christmas Eve as we entered the restaurant. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our drinks and appetizers were promptly delivered. The food was amazing. What a nice way to start the holiday season.
