Best Restaurants for Anniversaries in Desert Ridge

Reservation was at 4, we were seated at 4! Our server Joseph was attentive, but not overbearing. The food was great, drinks were great!

My sister, Mom, and I went to the Chart House for the Christmas Day menu. In addition to a choice of soup or salad, there was a really nice variety of entrée selections, plus three desserts to choose from.  My sister had the lobster bisque and the filet mignon with mashed potatoes. I also had the lobster bisque (delicious w/actual lobster bits!) and ordered the seared Chilean Seabass served on top of lobster risotto. My mom had the Ceasar salad and the prime rib with mashed potatoes. Every dish was delicious, not too salty, and the seasoning was just right. We all opted for the chocolate lava cake, which was served with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream, toffee bits, and chocolate sauce on top. It was absolutely delicious! The low noise level inside was really appreciated, dining at a restaurant with an elderly person, who has trouble hearing, is always a challenge. We didn’t have any issue hearing each other during our dinner. Overall, this was such a pleasant experience and I am so happy we decided on the Chart House for our Christmas lunch.

Our family has always celebrated our birthdays, and major celebrations at The Capital Grille. It seems to me the quality and preparation of their steaks have changed. The tenders and ease of the cut is not there. We have been to both Capitol Grilles in Phoenix Metropolitan. I have been very disappointed. The cheese cake has always been a wonderful treat and it is still good, the crust is different, it’s hard, not flaky, anymore. The cheese cake is not rich and the texture is different. These are just my observations. The service and ambience is top notch every time. I guess that’s why we keep returning.

Very nice Christmas Eve menu!! Enjoyed the crab salad, celeriac soup was delicious. Halibut was well prepared originally with spinach and apples. Husband had rib eye! Very tender! Ginger bread and candy cane cheese cake for dessert were good too

Another great Cholla experience. Superb service and great food!
