- MMargievipWashington, D.C. Area •15 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThanksgiving dinner was excellent. We had the turkey dinner. The food came out hot, seasoned with flavors of Thanksgiving. Our server Heather was very nice and just a joy for the special occasion. I was also celebrating my birthday. Our steak came out a little late; it was cooked to perfection the way we ordered it. Heather gave us a slice of complimentary pumpkin cheesecake (delicious) since the steak came out late. She was very apologetic but it was very busy so we totally understood. Plus it’s Thanksgiving. She was serving us and not with her family with the most pleasant attitude. I highly recommend Capital Grille for any special occasion. The hostess stand staff can be a little more inviting. Overall great experience and dinner.More infoThe Capital Grille - Chevy ChasePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Chevy Chase•4.8
- AAimeevipWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a GORGEOUS dinner with my in-laws the night before Thanksgiving. We've heard great things about Iron Gate, but truly everything from the service, to the items we ordered (and multiple little extras the chef sent out) were extraordinary. The chocolate dessert, we all agreed, was one of the best of our lives. Truly a hospitality-driven experience and we can't wait for an excuse to head back.More infoIron GatePrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• Dupont Circle•4.6
- LLucyWashington, D.C. Area •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFilomena does not disappoint! Always perfectly cooked pasta, chicken and seafood. The place is already decorated for Christmas which makes it quite an experience with a polar bear dressed in his best and Santa not to mention all the streamers and stuff hanging from the ceiling. No place like it. Only downside is they fill the place up and it gets tight and warm down in that basement. A must for any trip to DC and Georgetown!More infoFilomena RistorantePrice: Expensive• Italian• Georgetown•4.8
- DDR. ANDIvipWashington, D.C. Area •30 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoOh my! I’ve been going to Clyde’s restaurants for decades. They’ve been special in their own ways: very good, mid-priced food, nice decors, and excellent service. This was my first time at Tower Oaks and, as soon as I walked in, I wanted to spend the week! Though that’s not possible, I do think their setting and ‘lodge’ decor are like the most exquisite National Park or luxury lodge I’ve been in. In the same Clyde’s fashion, no detail is spared and the tables are spacious and not at all crowded! Dawn was our server and she was top-notch; including when we wanted mussels but couldn’t eat the spicy preparation on the menu, she volunteered to speak with the kitchen about using the lemon butter on the cod and throwing in some garlic. It was divine! And we complemented it by a market salad with greens, apples, and pears and a white Balsamic dressing. We were seated in a large booth overlooking the forest. As we walked out, I saw a formal dining room with large round tables. I’ll be sure to bring our family group of 6-8 to enjoy what a round table offers. Could not have been happier! Since covid, we’re still not eating out a lot; this was a rare and perfect treat! Kudos!More infoTower Oaks LodgePrice: Moderate• American• Rockville•4.7
- JJimvipPhiladelphia County •55 reviews5.0Dined on 20 Nov 2024This is “the place” to eat in DC - amidst the power brokers of industry & government -the atmosphere is clubby and the service impeccable. The steaks are absolutely delicious cooked to perfection and accompanied by delectable sides, like their signature creamed spinach. The Boston Clam Chowder was simply the best I’ve ever had and my filet was tender and really scrumptiousMore infoThe Capital Grille - Washington DCPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Capitol Hill•4.8
