Best Restaurants for a Quick Bite in Forest Hill / West Portal

Enjoyable Thanksgiving lunch. Food options varied and quality was top notch. Cocktails and wine pairing was perfect. Brian was an attentive host and wait staff in sync. A definite gem.

The team was super attentive from the second we checked in. Knowing we were celebrating a birthday, Bo and his team made sure our birthday person had a good experience. The overall ambiance is good, with fun Japanese music in the background allowing guests to have conversation but not overwhelmed by other noises. The chef presented beautifully made 19 course omakase. He too was polite and paced our meal based on the flow of our group. We didn’t try the beverage pairing this time, but there will be a next time!

It’s a gem of a place. We went here for the SF Restaurant Week. The food was very delicious. Drinks were great. Service was very attentive and friendly. Definitely would come back here with friends.

The Clay Oven has been a favorite of mine for many years. Whether I order take out, dine in, or delivery, the food is always hot and delicious. I recommend this place to everyone, it's a restaurant that you have to try.
