- RRJvipSan Diego •16 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoChose Eddie V's for our Wedding Anniversary dinner and could not have been happier with the outcome. The staff at Eddie V's, from the hosts to the waiter staff, were very positive and accomodating. First off, the presentation was exceptional, they had a hand written card wishing us a Happy Anniversary with rose petals waiting for us at our table. Our waiter (wish I had his name as he was excellent) brought us a couple of glasses of champagne to toast with at the beginning. Our waiter was exceptional. He made good recommendations, was not pushy in any way, and made us feel well taken care of. We ordered a Filet Mignon and their signature Sea Bass, with brussell sprouts side, all were excellent. The steak was cooked exactly to our liking and the sea bass was flaky and moist in a tasty sauce. The brought us a complimentary desert with ice cream, cookies, and a banana flambe. Such a nice touch. We are very picky about where we go out for dinner, as my wife is an exceptional cook, and Eddie V's exceeded our expectations. We will be coming back to celebrate with them again.More infoEddie V's - La JollaPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• La Jolla•4.9
- AAngelaSan Diego •7 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoStarting off, George was amazing, and provided fantastic service. Ambience was cozy, sleek, and spacious, not over crowed tables, feels intimate. Food is incredible. We had the tuna tartar, so fresh and clean with buttery avocado, positano pizza was thin, crisp, and the perfect subtle ratio of sweet and salty. Cacio e pepe was al dente and creamy. Beet salad was fresh and bright, with juicy beets, Crunchy smoked almonds and slightly peppery arugala, the calamari was tender and a perfect amount of breading, not to heavy, very light. Short rib empanadas were perfect little meaty bites with a flaky crust and herbacious chimmichuri. All in all, would definitely come back to try one of the fire grilled meats and the charcuterie board...would also like to try the lobster tail. Oh, and the tiramisu was out of this world!!!More infoThe Amalfi Llama - San DiegoPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• University City/Golden Triangle•4.4
- CChris and AnitavipSan Diego •42 reviews5.0Dined on 17 Nov 2024We found this restaurant as a wonderful surprise! We had been at the previous restaurant at this location several years ago and were delighted to visit this one. The service was great. The food was delightful. They had great choices on the menu and we paired a perfect wine for it. The dessert was delicious and we enjoyed our time there immensely. Thank you so much!More infoAqua Mare Cucina ItalianaPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Del Mar•4.6
- KKennethLondon •1 review5.0Dined on 16 Nov 2024This is a restaurant inside a Westin Hotel. There was virtually no one in the restaurant and the menu was rather limited for lunch, so we thought it is probably a miss. But it turned out that the food was quite good. We'll consider coming back for dinner at some point.More info20|TWENTYPrice: Expensive• Californian• Carlsbad•4.4
