- RRosemaryvipWashington, D.C. Area •160 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoVery much enjoyed our unconventional Thanksgiving dinner at Et Voila. Country pate, mushroom soup, beet salad: all delicious. Mains also good, especially the Carbonnade and skirt steak. Desserts outdid themselves: a layered pumpkin tart and "Alex" mousse cake. Our waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Service was almost too fast: they were clearly trying to move through a big crowd on Thanksgiving day and courses came promptly. They also had a lot of staff to whisk away plates as soon as we were finished. It's a small restaurant and can feel crowded even without a crowd. But we'll definitely be back for the food and service.More infoEt VoilaPrice: Expensive• French• Palisades Northwest•4.8
- CChristinaWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoMy husband and I decided to celebrate Thanksgiving at The Smith, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The prix fixe menu was fantastic, and our server, Jaiho, made the night truly memorable with her enthusiasm and friendliness. We started with the kale salad and butternut squash soup. The kale salad was delicious, and I would happily eat it any day. The butternut squash soup had great flavors, though it was a bit thinner than we expected. For our main courses, we opted for the turkey pot pie and short ribs. The pre fixe menu included sides for the table, which were all super tasty but very filling! We couldn't resist the apple toffee bread pudding and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. They were both so tempting that we had to have at least one bite before asking for a box to bring them home. Overall, the Thanksgiving pre fixe meal was generous and tasty. The Smith's atmosphere and Jaiho's excellent service made our holiday celebration truly special. We'll definitely return, whether for another holiday or a casual meal!More infoThe Smith – Penn Quarter, Washington, D.CPrice: Expensive• American• Penn Quarter•4.5
- JJoanWashington, D.C. Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWith the exception of one Thanksgiving dish, the food was great. When we commented on the dish, the manager removed the cost from the check. Family members ordered other than Thanksgiving items and were very pleased. We ordered several take out dishes and it is true….BEST FRIED CHICKEN EVER!! Extremely well prepared and beautifully presented, the tapas dishes were fresh and provided exotic flavor combos. The dishes tend to be fairly heavy despite the small plate size because many of the dishes are fried and my only wish is that there were more variety of veggies available.More infoCranesPrice: Expensive• Spanish• Penn Quarter•4.8
