Best Restaurants with Private Rooms in Midlothian

We had a date at Can Can last night. We wanted to see if it had changed since the boathouse people bought it. It didn't. Our excellent waiter told us they make everything in house except butter and other dairy and ketchup. Their bread is fabulous. Husband the delicious French onion soup and I had potato leek soup. We split a salad. It was so enormous that even splitting, it was too much. It was disappointing/ salad with poached pears, blue cheese and dried cranberries and maybe pecans. The cheese and other add ons- not including the pears- were probably no more than a tablespoon for the whole huge salad. We split steak frites. Great steak. It's a beautiful restaurant and really feels French.

David sheets was so kind and made our experience amazing! He took the time to joke with us ask if we needed any help picking things recommend wine and even though it was snowing and they were closing he didn’t rush us! The front staff was also so kind they saw me struggling to take a couple photo and offered to do it for us as well as expressing how much they loved my new sparkly boots! They offered to take my coat and packed up our left overs for us and all the staff was so kind, they all chipped in to refill waters and bring food out! And the FOOD WAS AMAAAAZZZZINGGGGG! We will be visiting this location again thank you guys so much for making our first date night in such a long time so easy going and fun!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Midlothian Chef's Kitchen last night - from the warm greeting by the hostess to the very professional waitstaff and, of course, including the outstanding food! There were many tempting choices but we BOTH decided on the Seared Rockfish - and are glad we did! It was delicious, and moist but even the crispy skin was wonderful (I don't usual like the skin of fish!.) For appetizers, we shared the Burrata & Sourdough and the Salad of Local Greens. They complimented each other wonderfully. By the way, if you are sharing the salad, they will re-plate it for you - divide it onto 2 plates and it is certainly big enough to share! The restaurant was slammed (as could be expected with Richmond w/o potable water for 5 days and counting and we were told that the kitchen was short-handed but it did not affect the operation of the kitchen - things were served in a timely manner (and hot!)

Wonderful service and food. The appetizers and entrees were beautifully presented.
