- JJamierNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoWe enjoyed our experience at the restaurant, the ambiance and food was absolutely amazing. 100% get the muscles in the spicy tomato sauce for starters. Our waitress Grace was amazing as well. Would definitely go back.More infoDa Andrea - ChelseaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Chelsea•4.5
- EErikNew York City •2 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoValentines Day for most restaurants is a chaotic experience so I’m going to give them a pass. They wanted to seat us at a tiny table and I’m 6”2 and 215 lbs. I did wait a little and got a decent table. The service was slow but we like to take our time so it wasn’t an issue. The special, chilled seafood salad with cucumber, cumin and crème fraiche was very special. The onion soup and pistachio terrine were as tasty as ever. My steak could have been warmer but the frites were nice and crispy. My partners duck a l’orange was nice but now what he expected. The flourless chocolate cake was as good as ever but served way before my partners almond tart. However the waitress was very accommodating and I did get a free glass of wine for the wait. The prices have gone up ALOT! I think $40 for a duck breast and steak frites is Al little steep for a casual French bistro, but again, that is the cost of dining in NYC.More infoL'ExpressPrice: Moderate• French• Gramercy Park•4.5
- KKeiraNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoIn a word—outstanding! This was our second visit to Metropolis, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by Maître d' Isaiah, who set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Our server Ira was not only attentive but also knowledgeable, offering insight into each dish with enthusiasm that made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Chef Sherry's culinary creations were a true work of art—both in taste and presentation. Each bite was a revelation, and the appetizers in particular were nothing short of spectacular. If I could describe it, it was like a celebration of flavors in my mouth— my taste buds were dancing with delight and craving more after every bite. We've dined at top restaurants all over the world- but Metropolis stands out, to us, as one of the best. Chef Sherry, thank you for making this Valentine's truly special. We can’t wait to return for another unforgettable dining experience!More infoMetropolis by Marcus SamuelssonPrice: Moderate• American• Financial District•4.4
