After meeting in the Tunisian village of Sousse, where their grandmothers were neighbours, Alexis and Alexandre decided to unite their roots around a restaurant: Mabrouk - the new Tunisian temple in the Haut Marais, with its thousand-year-old traditions from the East and its reinvention of typical and emblematic dishes. With its large sunny terrace and beautiful turquoise blue shop window, it's impossible to miss. This place will take you on a journey to the other side of the Mediterranean, with its no-fuss decor, large mirrors, oriental carpets hanging on the walls, antique terracotta ceramics, and a mix of Parisian and Tunisian codes.     This restaurant is over priced. We did not even get a view of the Eiffel Tower during dinner. They save the tables with the best views for people who come in and out for 20-30 min just to have a coffee or 1-2 drinks and leave. This makes no sense. People who travelled to Paris and are paying high prices to eat a full dinner should get the best tables. We were thrown into a crowded room with others sitting very close to our tiny table of two. All we got was pictures with the Eiffel Tower in the background and in the freezing cold after dinner. The music was way too loud and we could not even converse. The waiter did not check up on usduring dinner at all. I had to pour water and wine myself all night.They do not have enough waiters for the amount of diners. The food and wine is overpriced for what you get. They were not even open for New Years Eve or New Years Day. We had to settle for Jan 2 as a compromise. And the word compromise sums up this restaurant. This was my second time ( last time was 5 years ago) and also my last time I am going there. It went down hill since Covid.

    We booked via OpenTable and went there for our Christmas's Eve dinner. The servers were very friendly and very good. The food was amazing and good portion for us, the piano live music was great. Great special entertainment arrangement with musicians for the Christmas events. The restaurant was full. Not far from a metro station, just about 5-10 minutes walk. I will recommend this restaurant.
