Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Midlothian

Kasie .. Best Waitress EVER !! She Waited On Me & My Sisters For Our Galentines Day Dinner & She Was Fabulous!! The Restaurant Was Busy But She Didn’t Miss A Beat ! 👏🏾👏🏾 No Mistakes & Very Friendly .. I’d Come Back Just For Her 🫶🏾

The food was absolutely wonderful…the rockfish was perfect. We were in the covered patio area and it was completely wet floor…seems the owners could keep the water out of there. Also, the over heat was miserably hot because it is directly pointed at the tables in the middle. I would recommend not being seat out there during cold or rain.

First time we've been back since the COVID debacle where you had to order from a QR code and gratiouty was added. Not sure who decided that was a good idea, but they were wrong. Wife and I went for Valentine's Day dinner. Looked like it was reservation only, which made for a nice atmosphere without ton of people crowded around the hostess stand. Ambiance was great, as was the food and service. We were pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed all aspects of our meal. Boathouse at Sunday Park redeemed itself last night and we will be back.

We had a fabulous Valentine’s Day dinner at Hard Shell. Everything was perfect!

This is an amazing place - unknown to us before trying on Valentine's Day. The inside space is elegant and inviting, with table spacing that allows quiet and private conversation. Service is attentive but not overbearing, with occasional visits by the manager. Bar drinks were surprisingly tasty and original - we had the Shanes Strawberry Lemonade and Bloody Mary. We tried the Apple Pecan Salad, Shrimp 'n Grits, and Southern Cajun Pasta. If you're a fan of shrimp - both entrees had some of the best we've ever had. They were crunchy, juicy, spicy and plentiful. The pasta dish wasn't overly saucy and loaded with shrimp and fresh crabmeat. We can't wait to go back!
