Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Kensington

Food and service at the Park Potomac location are consistently very good. It was very loud on our visit for lunch today but it was also packed. We probably go about four times a year and have never been disappointed.

Our server Kyle was great. He made us feel welcomed and accommodated.

Caruso's Grocery at Pike & Rose is consistently excellent. It's hard to find really good Italian food in the area, so we were thrilled to discover them. The calamari is some of the best we've had, and we've really enjoyed the pasta dishes and entrees that we've tried over several visits. Highly recommend!

Julii is a real gem! The interior is wonderful with much natural lighting. The music was mostly jazz and very relaxing. Not too loud. I started with the Alsacian tartine. The portion was generous and the cheese and fruit (apple?) went well together. Delicious. For my entree, I ordered the lamb tajine and it was delicious with many layers of flavor: apricots, couscous, pine nuts, goat cheese, succulent lamb. The portion was generous and I had to bring some of it home. Our server, Grace, was wonderful. She checked on us at least a couple of times. Service was fast and courteous. I’ll be back to try more of the items on the menu! Overall, my experience was very positive.

I visited Hello Betty for restaurant week and was pleasantly surprised! The food was incredible – from the sweet potato biscuits to the pancakes and mimosas. I used to pass by this place all the time and never thought to stop in, but now I can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu.
