Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden. Though the original Shires' Gardens burned to the ground, "in a most picturesque fire," the legacy that was left behind is everlasting and an integral part of the Queen City's history.     We had a wonderful experience at Somm and will definitely be back! We had a quiet, enjoyable dinner for our anniversary. We enjoyed a wonderful bottle of rose, the charcuterie board, and the filet, and they were all incredible! Our waitress was personable, friendly, and quick! Highly recommend Somm!

    Food was excellent!!!! If you want some comfort southern cooking, the eagle is the place to ear!! Chicken is the best. Can’t pick my favorite sides cause I loved them all BUT the collard greens and the sweet potato casserole are both unbelievably delicious!!! Our waiter was excellent! All the staff were so friendly! Love this place!!!

    I booked your restaurant for Christmas Eve. We had never been and I was really excited for a downtown view and good food. The service was slow. And the food, was good but not great. I think this seems like a good place for drinks and appetizers. We had the mussels, which were good. The chorizo is a bit much. We had the shrimp and scallops. The scallops were cooked perfectly. But, again with the chorizo which was overpowering. We also had the pork chops, very good but a large portion. My son had the salmon and it was good, probably the favorite meal out of the three. This is a lovely atmosphere and staff is friendly.
