- LLouiseWest Sussex •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoThis was my second visit to Tottington Manor as a follow-up to a function I attended late last year, and my first visit to Terra. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the very charming Louis, Tottington'a General Manager, who was charming and is clearly a real asset to Tottington. We were seated quickly and left to peruse the menu and our orders were taken soon thereafter although we were not rushed. My mother and I both chose to skip the starters and go straight for a main course. Mum had lamb while I had the chicken dish and both were exceptional - beautifully presented and cooked and seasoned to perfection. We then opted for the mini bite size desserts which were a taste sensation, if a tad small. All in all this was a really pleasing visit where we enjoyed superb food and excellent yet very discreet service which I very much appreciated. Indeed, I am already planning my next visit with a very discerning friend who I am hoping will be similarly impressed. My sincere thanks to Louis and the wider team, and a very big pat on the back to all.More infoTerra Restaurant at TottingtonPrice: Very Expensive• Farm-to-table• Henfield•4.7

- DDarrenLondon •1 review5.0Dined on 24 Dec 2024Our second visit to Fork didn’t disappoint! A real gem of a restaurant with excellent food, attentive and friendly service coupled with good value! The fixed menu @ £39.50 provided a diverse set of choices to suit all palates cooked in an open-plan kitchen on full display to the diners. As a wine nerd it was also fantastic to take advantage of a £15 corkage fee which is extremely reasonable. I had scallops in a celeriac purée to start, pork tenderloin with pancetta and then an apple pie to finish. All superbly cooked and presented. We will most definitely be back!More infoFork LewesPrice: Very Expensive• British• Lewes•4.6
- JJulietLondon •3 reviews4.0Dined on 23 Dec 2024We were served by a lovely lady at the bar who was taking all the orders on her own, who I think was quite new to the job or to recent changes to the menu maybe. I felt for her having no support. She was very apologetic for any delay in taking orders and I could see it upset her that she couldn’t do her job to her full potential. But she certainly gave it her all. One guy seemed to bring the food to the tables and I didn’t see any other waiting staff. They were both really lovely friendly people. And it didn’t affect our visit. But I did feel they could have done with another pair of hands to support them. The food was lovely. The kids burgers were a good size and a nice quality meat. The pub itself is cosy and friendly. We will return. Thanks.More infoThe Roebuck InnPrice: Moderate• Gastro Pub• Lewes•4
